Performer & Collaborator
As a solo artist and member of various ensembles, Chris has performed at more than 100 popular sites throughout the Brandywine Valley region, taking part in concerts, festivals, private receptions, weddings and other events. He is proud to work continually in dedicated groups with several excellent musicians, including Paul Boris, Mindy Bowman, Jeanmarie Braddock, Gina Perregrino, and Douglas Seth. Composer & Creator
Chris is a past recipient of an Individual Artist Fellowship in Music Composition from the Delaware Division of the Arts, as well as a 2010 DDOA Opportunity Grant. His original works embrace a wide range of genres and instrumentation, and are frequently heard in both his solo and ensemble performances. These pieces can also be found on several regionally released recordings, including Mélomanie’s Fluorescence, Winterthur Museum’s Playing in the Garden, The Music School of Delaware’s Music of our Masters, Mosaic String Duo’s Dead Reckoning, and on his upcoming solo release, Pluck. Instructor & Educator
Chris teaches exclusively at the Wilmington and Milford branches of The Music School of Delaware, where he serves as Master Faculty and Guitar Department Head. He is the former coordinator and co-founder of the school’s Studio Department and Cultural Crossroads Series. In previous positions, Chris worked as a teaching artist for the Delaware Institute for the Arts in Education and as Artistic Director for Delaware Classical Showcase, Inc.
